Bonding

Ethan loves the dogs especially Blitz. He loves to crawl on Blitz. But Blitz doesn't like to be crawled on.  Ethan wanted to play on the dogs. So I put Blitz outside and let Ethan play with Ace. Ace loves Ethan. He is always trying to lick Ethan. As you can see in the picture.

Working out

Ethan was being cranky while we were trying to work out.
So Zach just picked him up and used Ethan as his weights.
It kept Ethan occupied for a while.

Climber

I have a climber already. I turned around for a second. When I looked back Ethan was standing on Zach's weights. That's right this 7 month old figured out how to climb. I'm going to have my work cut out for me when he learns how to walk.

Baby feet

I have been holding Ethan a lot the last couple days. I have spent some time looking at his feet. He has two of my toes which are the same as my Mothers and three of Zach's toes. I think it's so cute that he got part of both of us on his feet.

My child is A.D.D.

These pictures are from the other day before we got sick. I sat on the couch and just watched Ethan bounce from thing to thing. He is definitely my child. He went from playing with his toys, to a box, to keys, to eating my shoe, to playing with my other shoe, back to the box, over to his toys again, then to his walker, then finally to the couch. After that he decided he was tired and crawled over to me to tell me he wanted to go to sleep. This was all in a matter of minutes. I decided I better start preparing myself for when he can walk.

Sick together

That's right we're sick. We caught something from another baby at Church on Sunday. I was so glad that I got it instead of Ethan. But then I gave it to Ethan. Poor guy. He is all stuffed up and coughing. I feel so bad. We have been spending a lot of time cuddling the last couple days.

Love

Have I mentioned lately how much I love this guy? Well I love him a lot. He knows it too.

New friend

Our day today

 

Okay so first off you need to know that I am NOT a morning person. Never have been. Never will be. It's not in my blood, my mother can attest to that. So this morning I was having a hard time waking up. Ethan woke up crying so I went to get him. He had a huge poopy diaper. So I layed him on his changing table to change him. Ethan's new thing is that he doesn't like to be on his back. I was half a sleep and he kept trying to roll over.While he was covered in poop. I was trying to get him to stop rolling over. I gave him toys to distract him, and he still kept rolling over. He was getting mad at me for trying to stop him from rolling over and I was getting mad at him. I am not proud of this and never do it. But I told him loudly, to knock it off. That didn't work so I yelled at him several times to try to get him to stop rolling over. Not loud but I did raise my voice. I NEVER yell at him. I was half asleep and trying to keep the poop from getting all over both of us. After I finally finished changing him, I took him to my room to nurse him. While I was nursing him he kept putting his hand on my face. It was making me mad. I do not like my face being touched and it didn't help that I was already frustrated with him. I kept pushing his hand away. I felt bad but I was mad at him. After a few times of me pushing his hand away, he pulled off from nursing. Then came up to my face, put both of his tiny hands one on each cheek and gave me a not one but three big kisses on my lips. As if to say Mommy I'm sorry. I love you. Don't be mad, be happy. I suddenly forgot why I was mad. I kissed him back and gave him a big hug and told him I loved him. I was completely humbled by this experience. I was being really silly that I let myself get this mad at a 7 month old. He should have been the one mad at me for yelling at him. But he wasn't. All he knew was that he loved me. He could tell I was upset and he wanted to try to make me feel better. That is amazing for a 7 month old. I am so grateful for My Heavenly Father. For sending him to me. So I could learn a great lesson on LOVE.

 Okay this was a BIG deal today. So we were at my Mother-in-laws today. I was carrying Ethan down the stairs when I decided to put Ethan on the stairs. We don't have stairs in our house so he isn't around stairs. So I put him on the stairs for his first time. And he started climbing. I was behind him the whole time and his Uncle Janson was on the stairs in front of us. We put him half we up the stairs when he started climbing and he made it to the top.

I was so proud of him.

Janson loves this little guy. I caught him kissing his Ethan's head while he was holding him. I tried to take a picture of it but wasn't fast enough.

Now this is one girl that Ethan absolutely loves. His Aunt Nellie. He adores her. I think it's because she is so sweet and he has been around her the most. She rolling the ball around the floor with him today.

Ethan loved to stand when ever he can find a place to pull himself up. Today it was on the dishwasher while I was doing dishes.

Zach was home this whole week. So I haven't spent a lot of time playing with Ethan alone. So tonight we went in his room and I layed on his floor while he played with his toys. He loved it. He felt like we were doing it together.

Family night

 We went out to Applebee's for dinner. Ethan is now big enough to sit in a high chair at restaurants. For some reason the waiters always hand him crayons and paper. You would think that if you have to put your child in a high chair that they probably don't know how to color. But maybe I just don't know a lot about babies. I don't think they realize that he still tries to eat everything he gets his hands on.

 So after we went out to eat we went and saw the BYU Young Ambassadors. They were AMAZING. We loved it. Ethan even enjoyed himself until it was almost over. Considering it was two hours long. He did pretty well. In our ward they ask for help for housing for a night for the Young Ambassadors. We offered to let some stay at our house. Because we did, got free tickets to their show. We had a married couple stay at our house. The husband was in the band and the wife was the technician manager. If you have never seen this show. I highly recommend it. It was amazing.

 The show was actually packed. But after everyone left I let Ethan sit in the chair next to me. He was very proud to have his own seat.

When we got home he was tired. But was having a hard time falling asleep in his crib. So I ended up rocking him to sleep. He was so tired.

Ethan's loves dogs

Ethan has this fascination with our dogs and any other dog he comes across. He absolutely loves them. Don't judge my dirty doors. Yes I know they are dirty. No I haven't made the time to clean it.

  

Ace and Ethan

Last night I was making cookies. I looked over and saw Ethan and Ace just hanging out with each other. They were like this for at least ten minutes. Ethan crawled over to see Ace and just stayed there. I think they will be good pals when he gets older.
