Late Christmas present

Big thanks to my Mom for buying Ethan this table. It has drawers underneath it to store toys. My Mom got it for Ethan for Christmas. But we hadn't put it in his room until today. He loves it. His stood standings up by the table like this for twenty minutes. That's the longest he has played with anything for a long time. He normally has a very short attention span. So Mom you did good. He loves it.

Baby it's cold outside

It was cold outside today. So we snuggled up in my bed. Ethan love's being in Mom and Dad's bed.

 

Yep that's snow. The temperature outside when I took this picture was 36 degrees. You can't see it very well but there was big snowflakes coming down. Don't ask me how thats possible. I couldn't tell you. Earlier in the day it was snowing/ sleeting when it was 42 degrees out. Who knew?

Eating Redvines for the first time

 

Zach was eating Redvine licorice last night. I told him he should let Ethan taste it. As soon as Ethan tasted it he grabbed it from Zach and ate it. He sucked and gummed (since he has no teeth) on that one piece of licorice until it was basically gone except for the random chunks on his shirt. Let’s just say he LOVED it.

 

Reading books with Grandma

Great Grandpa Eggleston

 About a month ago I was helping my Great Grandma look for something in her house. When I found her husbands flag in the bottom drawer of her dresser. I decided to get her a case for the flag for her birthday. My Dad and I pitched in and got her a really nice one. Zach and his boss refolded the flag to make it look better in the case. Big thanks to everyone who helped out. She LOVED it.

The other day I took Ethan to My Great Grandpa Eggleston's grave.

Random Pictures

In the last couple days Ethan has discovered that he  can see me in my phone when I take pictures of us on my phone. This is him smiling at me in my phone.

Ethan has recently learn to climb up to a standing position. I honestly think he enjoys standing more than sitting.
I always put Ethan in my closet with some toys while I take a shower. On Friday I saw the shower curtain moving. I opened it and he was standing up on the bath tub. He was so proud of himself. I think he was trying to find me. After I got out I took a picture of it. He is so cute.

Ethan wanted Zach to hold him the other day while Zach was brushing his teeth. So Zach found a toothbrush that Ethan could use. So they could brush together. 

On Friday Ethan was tired and wanted to be rocked. So I gave him his Binky and blanket and put him in the rocking chair. I told him to stay there while I ran to bathroom. Normally he would move right away. But I came back and he was sitting perfectly still. He hadn't moved an inch. Also this is th blanket his Great Grandma Thompson made him. He loves it.

The trip home

Ethan did not want to wake up early to leave. Quite frankly I didn't either but I wanted to get home before Zach got off work. Since it was Valentines day.

On the way home I stopped in Idaho falls to visit my Great Grandparents grave. In the process of trying to find it (sadly I've only been there a few times in my life). I got one tire stuck in the snow. I took a corner to wide. Normally it would have been fine but since the other three tires were in ice. The car wouldn't budge. I ended up calling a tow truck. Luckily because of our insurance we didn't have to pay anything.

After they pulled me out I finally found the grave. I put a blanket down and took a picture of Ethan by it.

Then we left for home. When we were about an hour and a half from home. Ethan started crying. He wanted out of his car seat. So we stopped and ate lunch and let him stretch his legs. We were so glad when we finally made it home. What was suppose to be a 4 1/2 hour trip ended up taking 7 hours. Zach came home from work shortly after we got home. He brought me home some pink and white roses. I love them. We are both very glad to be home.

The ride back to Rexburg

The second day of driving was hard on Ethan. He didn't want to be in his car seat any longer. So every time we stopped we took him out for a break. When we finally made it home I was too tired to set up his bed. So I just made him a home made one with a bunch of blankets on the floor.

Alex

We left the airport and drove to Golden Coral to eat. Apparently missionaries eat free on Wednesday. So Alex got a free meal. He wrote the manager a note in a napkin to thank him. I didn't get a picture though. Then we dropped him of at the Missionary Training Center. That was hard to do. Alex was so excited though. That it made it easier. I will definitely look forward to his emails every week.

Airport

This is when we picked up Alex from the airport. It was so much fun. Alex was so excited when he first saw us. He started walking down the stairs really fast. He almost fell down the stairs. But thankfully he didn't.
